Can an Infant Toy Really Work Miracles?
I laughed. A miracle-working infant toy for the mother who is just too exhausted and can't get her child to sleep. Yeah, right. I'll hold onto my money, thank you.
Then, another fellow featured blogger, and good friend, posted in May that the Seahorse was doing good things for her daughter.
Today, I was walking in Walmart, and I came across the Seahorse. I picked it up. Put it down. Picked it back up. I read the box. Can this really work? Really? Is a $12 product going to save my sanity and help my child sleep through the night?
There's no way. Right? I mean it's not really going to work, is it? No infant toy can make your child go to sleep and stay that way.
But if it worked for a bunch of women on WTE, and it worked for my blogging friends chas0629 and ChemistryMama, then it has to work for me, right?
I dropped the Seahorse in my cart and headed to the checkout line. The worst that would happen would be that I would be out $12 on an infant toy, and believe in miracles just a little less.
I got home, and the laundry was calling for me. Parker was screaming because he was exhausted, and I figured it was now or never. I put Parker and his new Seahorse in the crib and off I went.
Two minutes later, I came back and snapped the photo above. It's been 2 and a half hours since I took that photo, and they're still both in exactly the same position. Parker never naps this long, so part of me just has to wonder.
Miracle infant toy? I don't know. But if it will make my baby sleep, it's the best $12 investment I've ever made.

Keep us updated on its "powers." This could be a great gift to a friend that is about to be a new mom.

Madison got one from my aunt for Christmas, I really need to get new batteries for it! She LOVES it! She also got a gloworm that she loves, but the music doesn't play as long as the seahorse.

So what's the secret? I would have paid a lot more than $12 to get a couple of mine to take some good naps.

Hee hee! Thank you, Fisher Price. Our seahorse is definitely a member of the family.
