Get Ready to Ride the "Dinosaur Train!"
Fresh off the heels of the incredibly successful “Sid the Science Kid,” I wanted to share the news that the Jim Henson Company is excited to announce the launch of their new series, “Dinosaur Train”- a new CGI-animated series premiering Monday, September 7, 2009 on PBS KIDS®(check local listings).Created by Craig Bartlett (Hey Arnold!), one of animation’s most successful producers, “Dinosaur Train” combines the two things kids love most: dinosaurs & trains! The new series features Buddy, an adorable preschool age Tyrannosaurus Rex. Each of the 40 half-hour episodes includes two 11-minute animated segments, which follow Buddy and his adoptive Pteranodon family, on their adventures with all kinds of dinosaurs, creatures and reptiles. Young viewers will join the travelers on a whimsical journey through prehistoric jungles, swamps, volcanoes and oceans as
they learn how to compare and contrast different dinosaurs. The series continues Henson’s legacy of quality children’s entertainment and joins Henson’s successful series Sid the Science Kid™ which also airs on PBS KIDS.
As a mom, I prefer that the shows my kids watch have some type of educational value to them. PBS Kids is a channel that I can trust to help my kids learn and grow.
Just a few more months and we can all hop on board the Dinosaur Train!
Hope I see you there!
