Where's Spot? 30th Anniversary Edition (Review & Giveaway - 5/11)
This April, the BBC celebrates the 30th anniversary of the ever-curios and always adorable puppy, Spot, with the DVD release - Where's Spot? 30th Anniversary Edition.
You may remember Spot best from the lift-the-flap childrens books written by Eric Hill. Or, maybe your kids watched the classic tv show that aired on the Disney Channel's Playhouse Disney. Whatever the case, Spot has become a household name that anyone in the last 30 years can recognize and think of with love.
The new Where's Spot? 30th Anniversary Edition includes six endearing episodes with Spot voiced by Jonathan Taylor Thomas (The Lion King, Home Improvement), and each episode contains its own special song. It also contains 3 bonus episodes with the beloved puppy voiced by actor Hayley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense, Pay it Forward), a reading of Where's Spot by author Eric Hill, and 2 interactive games. And, guess what? It releases today: April 20th! You can own it on DVD today!

My Review of Where's Spot? 30th Anniversary Edition
I love Spot. I always have. I will always remember reading the books and lifting those flaps over and over and over again. In fact, the very first book I read all by myself was a book about the adorable little puppy, Spot. I wore those Spot books out too. I'd lift those flaps so many times that eventually they fell off. Never stopped me from reading those books more though.
Now, I get to share my love of Spot with my kids. While Ashley (12), Zander (6), and Jace (5) are all a little too old to full appreciate Spot, Lucy (3) and Parker (18 months) are at the perfect ages to fall in love with him like I did.
I popped in the video, and we watched all 6 episodes. Then, we watched the 3 bonus episodes. And then we played the games that were included. Lucy and Parker were in heaven. Parker is all about puppies right now, so he'd get so excited every time Spot appeared on the screen. And Lucy? Well, she loves to interact with everything, so she'd shout at the tv and jump up and down and cheer when they found Spot, or his bone, or just about anything. I wish I could share a video of Lucy watching this DVD. She absolutely loves it, and has all of Spot's friends names memorized, and calls them her friends as well. It's so sweet!
Spot will continue to be a friend in our household, and we couldn't be more excited to own his 30th Anniversary DVD.
