The Lifetime Double Shot Basketball Arcade Game (Review & Giveaway - 12/5)
Anyone who has known me for any length of time probably knows how much I love basketball. I played in Junior High and High School, and always wished I could have gone on to play college ball. But, things happened and I became a mommy instead.
However, I still love to get my hands on a ball and shoot. Whenever we take the kids to Chuck E. Cheese, you can usually find me kicking someone's butt at the basketball arcade game.
I've passed this love for basketball on to both of my boys. They're always eager to try and keep up with me, and we have such a ball when we play. So, when Lifetime Products contacted me and asked if I'd try out The Lifetime Double Shot Basketball Arcade Game with my 5 monkeys, how could I refuse? A basketball game that I could play anytime - day or night, and not have to keep popping quarters into it?! Awesome.
Before I get to our review, here's the product description:
Our Review of The Lifetime Double Shot Basketball Arcade Game
I didn't tell my kids that we would be receiving The Lifetime Double Shot Basketball Arcade Game for a review. I wanted it to be a complete surprise. Luckily, the package arrived on a day when hubby was home, and it came while the kids were at school. Hubby loaded the game into his truck and headed over to his mom's house. We don't have room for us in our house, so this had to go to Maw-Maw's house. We're always there anyway, so I knew it wouldn't be a problem.
Hubby was able to get it all set up and assembled in record time, and made it back home before the kids were home from school. We were going to his mom's house for dinner that night, so we knew it would be perfect for the big reveal.
When we got to my MIL's house, the first place the kids headed was the playroom - it's always their first stop. Only this time when they walked in, they were greeted by The Lifetime Double Shot Basketball Arcade Game.
You should have heard the screams of delight and excitement coming from all of them. Even my teenager, Ashley, couldn't wait to jump in and play! No one wanted to stop long enough for dinner, but finally did when we assured them they could play longer after dinner, and reminded them of the fact that they were spending the night there anyway.
That was it. They were hooked. Hubby's mom said that they played for hours that night, and there was absolutely no fighting. They all took turns, and acted like little angels.
I couldn't believe it, so the next morning, I was anxious to get over there and see it for myself.
My mother in law was right. No fighting, just encouragement and excitement for how well each of them were doing.
Who were these kids?
That day, I ended up staying at my MIL's house, with the kids, and playing the Lifetime Double Shot Basketball Arcade Game for over 4 hours straight. We were having so much fun that none of us wanted to stop! Ashley and I had a shoot out to see who could break the high score record, and by the end of the day, she had won with a record of 89 points! I was so proud of her! The only downfall? My arms were so sore that night that I could hardly move them. Talk about a fun way to get these arms in shape!
There are several things that I love about the Lifetime Double Shot Basketball Arcade Game:
I will say the basketball game is pretty big. But, if you've got the space for it, this is the ultimate gift for any family. Doesn't matter if you have kids or not, grownups can get just as much enjoyment out of this game as any kid.
I love The Lifetime Double Shot Basketball Arcade Game and can see this bringing hours and hours of enjoyment to my family for many years to come. I'm just hoping someday we have a house of our own that we can put it in. Of course, then you may never get me away from it!
Every year for Christmas, Gene and I use the money from our parents to buy the kids one large, special gift that they can all enjoy together. This would have been the perfect gift to get for them this year, I'm sure of it! At just $279.99, it's an excellent value for all the hours of fun your family will receive.

There are several things that I love about the Lifetime Double Shot Basketball Arcade Game:
- It's a TON of fun - for the whole family! We'll pull up a chair for Parker and Lucy, and the two of them will throw the basketballs at the hoops over and over again. They never make any baskets, but who cares?! They're having a ball!
- The set includes 7 (yes, SEVEN!) basketballs and a pump! No searching high and low for your bike tire pump, this one's right in the set and ready to use.
- One of our sensors was broken, so we couldn't keep score on the left basket. When I informed Lifetime Products of the problem, they immediately overnighted me a new sensor, and it's working perfectly now! Kudos to them for excellent customer service with such a quick response! The kids are more competitive than ever now, but it's all in good fun!
