Try New Sugar-Free Ring Pops! (Review & Giveaway - 5/21)

5/04/2010 07:00:00 AM

It's no secret that I have a sweet tooth. My kids have each inherited my love for all things sweet as well. And while sugar is fine in moderation, too much can lead to horrible dental visits.

Before I get to my review of the new Sugar-Free Ring Pops, here's some need-to-know information about these one-of-a-kind lollipops:
Sugar Free Ring Pop is the ideal treat for today’s active kids. It’s a candy kids wear on their finger, so they never have to worry about dropping it.

Parents can now feel even better about giving Ring Pop to their kids because Sugar Free Ring Pop won’t cause cavities, has no fat, and has only 30 calories per great-tasting, long-lasting pop! Sugar Free Ring Pop is the perfect treat and comes in Blue Raspberry, Watermelon, Strawberry!

Sugar Free Ring Pop is perfect for:
  • Kids Sports Events

My Review of Sugar-Free Ring Pops
My kids have always loved ring pops. I remember when Ashley was little, she'd make one ring pop last for days because she couldn't decide which she loved more: wearing it like jewelry or having a yummy lollipop to enjoy. Now she's almost 13, and she still enjoys Ring Pops just as much as she did then. (Although now she's very careful about what finger that ring pop does - or does not! - end up on.

My younger kids love them too. When the package of Sugar Free Ring Pops arrived at our door, I wondered what the reaction from them would be, though. After all, sugar-free usually means gross.

I didn't let the kids see the package when I opened them up and handed the suckers to them. I wanted to see what their opinions would be without any fore-knowledge that there was no sugar in the pops. The each picked their flavor, and went to town on the Ring Pops.

Not one of them noticed that they were different than the ring pops they usually enjoyed. Lucy even told me, "Mom, this is the best sucker-ring ever." That's quite a compliment!

There are several things that I love about the new Sugar Free Ring Pops: 1. They're sugar free. That means I don't have to worry about "sugar bugs" in their teeth and hours of torture at the dentist. 2. They're fat free and have only 30 calories per pop. While that doesn't mean I'm going to make Sugar Free Ring Pops an after-meal treat at every meal, it means that if I want to give my kids a Ring Pop every now and then, I don't have to feel guilty about it. 3. The taste. They really are just as sweet as the Ring Pops made with sugar. No one in my house was able to taste any kind of a difference.

New Sugar Free Ring Pops definitely get our seal of approval. And these are going to make a great treat for passing out this year for Halloween!
