No more mullet!

I finally did it. I finally cut off Lucy's mullet. It's been bugging me for over a year now, and it had to go. It was SO hard to cut those sweet little curls, but it had to be done.

For some reason, the back of Lucy's hair grew much faster than any other part. This resulted in a dreaded mullet, full of curls. Because of this, we rarely left Lucy's hair down. I had to pull it up, whether in one pony tail or two.

After I cut her hair, I put the sweet little strawberry blond curls into an envelope, and taped it into her baby book. I wish I had taken a before picture to show you just how bad the mullet was. I'm just so glad it's gone.

Lu did really good while I cut her hair. She kept trying to turn around to see what I was doing, but eventually we got her to hold still long enough to snip off that chunk of hair.

I didn't even cry. LOL! I'm really glad I did it. She looks like such a big girl now, and now I can leave her hair down and show off her beautiful curls!

LOL! I hadn't noticed a mullet when I visited. Lauren had one...BAD. And because her hair is STRAIGHT, you could really notice it. The sides of her hair just grew so much slower than the back. Did you read my latest blog entry? It's a long one, but eventually you get to the part where SHE CUT HER OWN HAIR! And guess what she did? She gave herself a HALF MULLET. Yup. Butchered the right side of her hair good. The only way I can kinda cover it up is to get it into a ponytail and use some hairspray. AHHH!!! There's really no fixing it until it grows out some. Thank goodness it's winter and we're not out and about as much, LOL!

Lucy is precious and I just love her curls. I'm so jealous of all the curls goin' on with you two! ;)

Oh Angie!! She is just the most precious little thing! LOVE the haircut. You did a great job. I have never been able to get a cut straight-that's why I take the girls to my mom's and she does it.

I'm so glad Lucy's curls stayed. Remember when I cut Sarah's and the curls never came back? I'm still sad about that.
